Where to begin with the events that Truckee Rotary supports in our community? Below is partial list of events that we host. Actual dates vary from year to year.

Cadillac Ball |
Not only is the Cadillac Ball the best party in town, it also provides our community with a tremendous resource of dollars. The proceeds of Cadillac Ball is our clubs main source of revenue to support the numerous community and Rotary events throughout the year. |

Blood Drive |
Held twice a year at the Veteran’s Hall. This event is sponsored by our club. |
February |
Tahoe City Rotary Club Ski Race |
“Faster and faster until the trill of speed overcomes the fear of death” While this event is not conducted by our club, our members are always involved. Usually held the last Friday in February. Truckee Rotary has taken first place in the team standing for the past 15 years. |
March |
Annual Crab & Pasta Feed |
The annual Crab Feed is an event not to be missed! All the crab you can eat, and the profits go to a local non-profit group each year. It begins with the bar opening at 5:00 pm, Buffet Dinner served 6:00 to 7:00 pm, and silent auction from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. |
Spring |
High School Speech Contest |
We were treated to a fine display of oratory excellence by high school students who exhibited incredible insight on how to make a difference in our world. First place is awarded with $100 and the opportunity to advance to the next level of competition. |

Community Scholarship Program |
Each year the Rotary Club of Truckee awards several scholarships to local schools in the thousands of dollars. For More information, contact our Community Service Chairpersons. |

Truckee Days |
Each year on the second Saturday in June the Rotary Club joins with hundreds of local residents to clean up town. |
July |
July 4th at Donner Lake |
Our club starts very early in the morning and begins preparing the BBQ to feed local Truckee residents while they wait for the night time festivities. Residents enjoy an inexpensive meal. All proceeds are donated back to the community. |

Annual Truckee Kids Trout Fishing Derby |
Free fishing for kids 12 and under. Held in partnership with the Nevada County Fish and Game Commission. All local kids are invited to a day of fun. |
August |
County Fair Ice Cream Booth |
Our club sponsors an ice cream booth at the Nevada County Fair in Nevada City each year. A portion of the proceeds go to a local non-profit or youth group. |
September |
Truckee Renaissance Faire |
Held at the Truckee River Regional Park this event takes us back to the days of Jousting and lively music and fun. |
October |
Senior Wood Cutting |
Each year, Truckee Rotarians flock to the wood cutting yard to "split & buck" firewood for our local seniors.. Wood is split and delivered to needy seniors free of charge. |

As part of the Annual Truckee River Day the Truckee Rotary Club works on the Trail system |

Senior's Thanksgiving Lunch |
The Rotary Club of Truckee hosts a free Thanksgiving Luncheon for the local seniors in our community. Held around the Thanksgiving holiday, seniors are treated to an old fashioned home cooked meal complete with dessert carefully prepared and presented by the wonderful chefs at the Resort at Squaw Creek at Squaw Valley USA. |

It is important to note that all Club operations, administration and meetings are funded strictly through dues and fees imposed on members which insures the proceeds from all fund raising events are directed back to the community and international projects.
